Disability Management: Early Intervention Programmes

by Arlene Ward

Exit Paper

Workplace injuries can have a significant financial and emotional impact on the injured worker, the workplace, and on the surrounding community. Disability management programmes afford the opportunity to minimize this impact through the utilization of early intervention strategies. This report provides a systematic review of the literature related to disability management and early intervention strategies. Areas of focus include discussion with key stakeholders related to the findings of evidence-based research in comparison with actual programme delivery in the workplace and recommendations for future directions of disability management and early intervention strategies in Canada.
